@Deb - Thanks. I'd love to have some discussions with you on the other points. Preferably before I start running for office.

Hey! Not sure how, but I missed this post of yours. Well-said and I agree on most points, and we could probably have some good discussions on a couple of others. Also, proud of you for voting against all grains. I personally would love to see a third party as a true contender for the presidency arise. The two-party system is really not working - I'm really hoping the Millennials will help our country see that!

@Jeff - Thanks. This was something that has been on my mind for a while.

I should also mentioned that I spent sometime on lp.org last night and I volunteered to help the Libertarian Party in local elections in the future. Change has to start at home.

Very well said. I feel the same way on these and many other topics. I thought and researched a lot over the past couple weeks and I too cast my vote for Bob Barr this morning.

I know he can't win, but it's not about that. It's about showing my support for what I truly believe in, and I believe the Federal Government has gotten way to huge and has become involved in too many areas that they have no business in.

The Federal government could be cut in half, and we'd be fine. Let the State and Local governments do their jobs, and leave the rest up to private organizations. I give quite a bit of money to private organizations, and I'd give even more if you weren't forcibly taking so much from me to support your unnecessary agenda!

Grr. I had started to let this go for the day, but you got me fired up again Dorie! :)
