I’ve worked in several Senate offices. you never get a “real” response unless it’s casework. that’s why you choose a topic so they can generate a letter to you that’s already written. even when it involves casework, a member of the staff does the work, not the Senator. Good luck!

Fight the power, girl!

Everything you said is so dead on that it is scary. And scarier still is the fact that I know relatively smart people who STILL will not fact the fact that blindly following anothers ideology is stupid and wrong.

I’m happy to know that I am not the only one that realizes that this 700 billion bailout does NOTHING to help me. Sometimes I feel that this is the twilight zone and that none of this is real.

Unfortunately, the number one priority of politicians is to get re-elected, and right now, Gen Y voters don’t matter very much.

@PJ_Normz – I think the bailout is horrible. I also think a student loan bailout would be horrible as well. I really don’t think a bailout solves anything. No matter what, we need to feel the impact of our actions and we will feel that impact, its just a matter of when.

What I really want to do is start asking our elected officials questions that are relevant to our generation.

And honestly, I have a problem paying income tax to the federal government but I have no problem paying income tax to our local and state governments. The federal government is out of control and needs to be stopped.
